Festival Poster + Extended
Project Overview:
This project originated as a class assignment to create a festival poster, which I extended. I selected the Viva Mexico Festival in Madison, an annual celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day. The design emphasizes expressive typography supported by linocut-inspired elements to introduce a tactile, handcrafted quality. By incorporating hands-on techniques, I aimed to authentically reflect the festival’s vibrant energy and the rich cultural spirit of Mexico.
